Hello ladies & gents, and welcome to Jack's version of PRO week 2 predictions.
To clear off something real quick, I might not be able to do weekly blogs, as my college schedule this semester is rather tight, but I promise to deliver my whole potential to you all whenever and if ever I write predictions.
A quick comment on Voodoo's PRO week 1 runt: What is my response to your blog? LOL!
With all that said, we can move on to this week's predictions..
Before I start, I did not really follow with anything that happened last week, so these predictions might be a little off, but eh, what the heck?
Match #1 - Sexy Poolerz Vs. Miscues
Sexy Poolerz had a great run last week. This team is led by captain Bev and co/captain Jack. This week I, Jack will be captaining Sexy Poolerz in this match and will be handpicking our players for the night. I really do believe Sexy Poolerz will go far this season, as I also stated in my pre-season predictions, but I do admit there will be a few obstacles and barriers before them, and Miscues are definatly a great example.
On the other side, we have Miscues, coming off strong from WSOP with a 5-0 run. This team defeated Pool Fiction last week, and this does not surprise me a bit. Players in this team undoubtedly have a lot of charisma, starting with Ant, Ben, Stephen, Conor, Zach, and so forth. I would again not be surprised if I saw Ant bring a few more rather professional players on the table this week as well. Let's see what tricks he has up his sleeves this week.
This match is definatly one to watch. Both teams are very talented and have what it takes to give a great performance. We will see a clash between Jack, Troy, and Jason on one side and Ant, Conor, Ben on another. The end result is a no-brainer.
Prediction => Miscues Win 5-2
Match #2 - Dead Strokes Vs. Straight Shots
Dead Strokes had a good performance last week against Freedom, at least one of their players did. I do not see many familiar ids on their week 1 roster, I do not even recognize sin-e, but eventually I should. Dead Strokes has not been performing as well as they would a few months ago in other interleagues. James is a great guy though, a lot of class, and I think he has what it takes to put on a show if he is willing to; and Chele, another great captain with a lot of heart.
Straight Shots very similarly to Deadstrokes had a so-so week 1. Poor performances all around, probably the lack of luck playing an essential role there, Ben was the only guy on the squad with an impressive run last week. He claims to be a champion, well I see the guy stepping up to the plate and proving that he trully is, indeed, a champion. Straight Shots is a very organized league and have a well-structured roster in any interleague they participate in, it will not be any different in PRO.
Another match to watch, James and Chele take on Ben and Shelle, in what should be an epic duel between two great leagues/teams. Consistency and efficiency will be key aspects in this match. Choose your players wisely and give it your best shot.
Prediction => Straight Shots Wins 5-4
Match #3 - Pool Fiction Vs. Freedom
Pool Fiction began their season not so strong. However, that does not mean they are not a tough team. Pool Fiction goes way back, and has been part of some of the greatest clashes in ypool interleague history. They simply had a bad week, but will definatly look to picking up their slack this week, and beginning a hopeful endless winning streak for the remainder of the season. Freedom, Petey, and his henchmen will have their say in this though. Kerry is bestknown for being a sweet and smart captain and has more respect than most people in the game. Look for her to come into this match prepared and bring a few of her top guns along.
Freedom is led by their captain Petey, another great captain full of class and respect. They did well against Dead Strokes last week, but not well enough. Some of their key players lost their games, in Cam and Sean. These are players whose wins are necessary in rare cases where they will have to carry the whole team into a win. Besides that, everyone played generally well. Petey loves it being at the highest extremity of the echelon in any competition he takes part in, and PRO is definatly one of his favorites, so watch out fellow leagues.
This match should be pretty tight, we will see Petey and Kerry battling it out. These two teams again, go way back. They have faced one another a few times in different interleagues, and its always the other league who ends up winning the match.
Prediction => Freedom Wins 5-4
Match #4 - Break & Run Vs. Pool Dragonz
Break & Run had a great kick-off week, defeating a strong adversary in Straight Shots. Dina leads this powerhouse of a league/team, and is helped by Ross, a very loyal friend of hers. Both players have a lot of captaining experience and have led their league to winning many championships in interleague competitions. This week should not be any different from last week for this side, as their players are clearly way more talented than anyone in Pool Dragonz, counting jordy, croz, ross, mike, jim, and so forth.
Pool Dragonz started off poor in week 1, losing badly against Sexy Poolerz. They should have won last week since their opponents were not the toughest in PRO. This weak they will face a much tougher league in BNR. Drew is a good captain, he goes far back captaining BP, a very successful league in its day, and even just recently in UIC. He has DJ, another loyal BP player always there having his back. They have a good roster in Drew, DJ, Hani, but is it enough?
This is an interesting match because BNR will look to picking up a big win and extending their winning streak, whereas PDZ will play this one for pride and to earn more respect and the attention of their fellow leagues and PRO predictors. GL both sides!
Prediction => Break & Run wins 5-3
Well there you go, ladies and gents, I really hope you enjoyed the read. All close matches, I tried my best not to apply favoritism, so hope you ALL like my predictions. If you have any comments, please feel free to im me, dx.fanatic, or to leave a comment on the blog.
Thank you all and have a great week!
GOOD LUCK !!

PRO Interleague - Pre-Season Predictions
Hello Everyone, and welcome to PRO Season 11. As most of you may know, I am Jack DX (dx.fanatic), H/A and captain of interleagues for EPC. To give a short background of my history as a blogger, I have already writen predictions for UIC, IPA, GIT interleagues not too long ago. If you are wondering why I stopped, it is mainly because I started college a few months ago and was concentrating on getting good grades in all my courses. I have to admit though, I did really miss writing these predictions, as I am very passionate about writing. A lot of my past readers probably know that I write genuinely long predictions, that is because often, I ramble incoherently about certain matters. Though I might slack off a few weeks here and there due to my studies, I promise that I will do my best to get weekly predictions in. One more thing I would like to mention before moving on to the pre-season predictions, is that I will try my best not to include any kind or biases or favoritism in my predictions. Last but not least, if anyone if wondering where I am playing, and IF I am playing PRO this season, I am planning to play for Sexypoolerz and try to help them out as much as possible.
Before I forget, how rude would it be moving right on to writing predictions without giving a shoutout to the PRO admins? Afterall, without me bringing PRO back, and Petey taking over and running it for 2 full seasons, this interleague would not be running right now. Thank you Petey for all your hard work on keeping this interleague going, and Hope, for sticking around as admin for 3 seasons. Thank you Craig & Ben for keeping the site going, and to Kalpz for creating it in the first place. Also, I would like to welcome Simon back to the admin team. This season, I will proudly be predicting alongside my good friend Mister Predictor and Voodoo Peter Laveau.
Pre-Season Predictions
"Just as a heads up, these pre-season predictions will really be based on my fair interpretation and expectations of each league without having to check who plays for what league, so please do not get offended, or take it in a bad way if they do not favor you, as they do not really mean anything, and are just there as a guide. Your performances in the coming weeks will really tell me where each of your leagues stand in the assigned conferences".
Atlantic Conference
#1 position - Miscues
Miscues are known to being a ferocious and dominating league. Throughout their short run in interleagues, they have done an outstanding job in performing against some of the best known leagues in ypool. They are currently undefeated in WSOP with a 4-0 record. With players like Trey, Saf, Ant, Conor, James and Ben, this season should pretty much be a breeze for MC. I really do not see them losing any matches except probably one or two vs Freedom or Straight Shots.
#2 position - Freedom
Freedom's performance has also been one to notice, as they have been dismantling any league crossing their path. They have had additions of several new players from leagues all around and they have set-up a new and more profound line-up of talented players within their roster. Freedom are oldtimers, they are not any league to be taken softly. They just won CPA beating BNR in the finals, though I am not certain winning anything in CPA gives anyone much to brag on about. Nonetheless, Freedom with their super captain Petey, and skilled players like Cam, Adam, Trav, Craig, Sid and Matt, will look to top this conference, and I believe they really have the potential to do so.
#3 position - Straight Shots
I am not very sure of who all is playing for Straight Shots this season, but by quickly taking a glance at the PRO myleague standings page, I do not see way too many familiar faces. I know that a lot of players have diverged into other leagues, Cam for instance. They still have a few good players, like Jon, David, and Jason, but I dont think it is enough while having to compete against the most fearsome leagues around. Besides from a few wins here and there, I do not really see Straight Shots going too far this season, but I sure do hope I am proven wrong as I know what this league has done in the past and what it is capable of doing with the very least effort.
#4 position - Pool Dragonz
Ever since joining interleagues a few years ago, Pool Dragonz have never seized being considered as one of the underdog leagues. This is not always a bad thing though, as it is often the underdogs who become the most brutal force around and deteriorize any incoming obstacle. The newest additions to the Pool Dragonz roster are Drew and DJ, and probably a few other BP players. These two players are not ones to be underestimated, but unfortunatly, a match cannot be won with two players. By saying this, I am not saying that the rest of the PDZ roster are basically null, instead I am pointing out that they are not good enough to go head to head with players from other leagues in their conference. They can pick up a few wins, every now and then, there is no doubt there, but they are not players you can rely on for constantly winning in tough positions in matches, such as clinch games, or carrying the team to a win. Now luckily, PRO has a 5v5 carry format, which can help PDZ pick up some wins throughout the season. Their best shot at winning most of their matches, in my opinion, would be having Hani carry them all the way through on a weekly basis.
Pacific Conference
#1 position - Pool Fiction
It is really tough for me to pick Pool Fiction over Break and Run as #1 seed, but I got to pick one. Pool Fiction // SLASH // Xtreme Pool Legends as Cubby says it, has a fairly vast and extended line-up, rounding from players like Cubby, Kerry Anne, Mina, Brent, etc, etc. As an ex-XPL player and captain, Kerry Anne was doing a great job in captaining the league and getting them big wins. The return of Cubby to ypool and the re striking of Pool Fiction into interleagues have a rather peculiar link if you ask me. I for one am pretty excited in seeing Pool Fiction back into action, as I really saw no point in Kerry wasting her time getting wins for a league with a careless head admin, XPL that is. I trully believe Pool Fiction will have the easy edge in this conference and easily make the finals.
#2 position - Break and Run
I would normally predict BNR as #1 seed, but comparing stats and players on paper, I would easily pick PFN over them. BNR has lost a few good players over the past few months, since I have been gone. However, they picked up Daru for WSOP and I am certain they will ask him to play PRO as well. Now my prediction here will mainly focus on Daru and daru only, since I know Daru well myself and I have seen him play more than anyone else. If BNR wants to do well, they will have to rely on Daru carrying them, and I really believe he can. I am not implying that the rest of the BNR roster sucks, all I am saying is that Daru is definatly a player that can help in a 5v5 carry format. Elsewhere, they also have decent players like Dina, Ross, Jim, and so forth. This is surely a team to watch out for, and one that could easily top this conference and make it to the playoffs.
#3 position - Sexy Poolerz
Sexy Poolerz has not been doing all that well in interleagues lately, but that is about to change, in PRO at least. As I said many times above, this 5v5 carry style format is bound to be a tool for the weakest leagues. With just a few key players, the match can be carried into victories. I myself, am proud to announce that I am now part of this team, and will do my best in contributing to it and helping it get far in this interleague, and I want to thank Bev for giving me the oppotunity to do so. Sexy Poolerz have a lot of potential, and a few key players that need to be pushed a little to perform well, such as razzy, willi, and damo. With just a little more persistency and courage, Sexy Poolerz can squeeze their way into a higher position in this conference and hopefully even make it to the playoffs.
#4 position - Dead Strokes
This is really a tough conference for Dead Strokes to play in. As much as I hate to place them last, I have no other option. I have not been seeing much effort, will, and determination coming from this league ever since it losing a few key players like Trey and Cam. They are still a pretty tough team, full of decent players, like Roy, James and Chuck, but I am afraid they just do not have what it takes to do well in this conference against these specific teams. Their biggest downfall here will be their inconsistency, which is also the main cause of their downhill shift in other interleagues as well. I am really hoping for a few upsets from Dead Strokes this season, and hopefully they can get back to winning matches regularly like they used to.
Well there they are, I put time on these, yes even hours, so no lame comments, enjoy! Week 1 should be up shortly..
